Scorpio Tankers DNS Sponsorship

Scorpio Tankers aka Scorpio group is an ownership company which manages tanker vessels all over the world. They have a fleet of 106 oil tanker vessels. The avg. age of vessels in the company is 8.5 years. Formally, they used to deal with bulkers too but decommissioned their bulk carrier fleet and are completely oil tanker-based company.

How to Apply for DNS Sponsorship Program?

Scorpio does not release any external forms. They have two ways of selecting candidates.

1. Internally through Maritime Institutes

The maritime institutes like Tolani Maritime Institute and T.S. Rahaman releases their form where they collect data and share it to the Scorpio tankers to sort out the candidates based on the required eligibility and company requirement.

2. Externally through CV received on email.

A candidate can make a resume or CV and send it on crew.training@scorpiogroup.net on a specific time when they are open for recruitment.  The specific time is not publicly announced as the seats are limited and thus a trusted source’s intel must be taken into consideration to ensure that the CV is not overlooked.

Once the application is accepted, an email is received explaining about the further process.

Eligibility Criteria

1. 12^th PCM % >= 65 in individually, i.e. >= in all Physics, Chemistry & Maths.
2. 10^th or 12^th English % >= 50
3. Only 1 year of drop is permitted. For Aug. 2025 and Feb 2026, one should be either appearing for boards in 2025 or passed out boards in 2024.
4. Age before commencement of course <= 20
5. Valid Passport in-hand before course commencement
6. Vision Should be 6/6 without aids. Vision correction methods like Cantura Vision and LASIK is allowed. The vision correction must be done 15 days before the medical examination.
7. Colour Blindness is not permitted

P.S. If 12^th result is obtained after improvement examination or there is a year gap between 10^th and 12^th, the candidate is not eligible for the DNS Sponsorship program of Scorpio tankers.

Company Speciality

1. Stipend for Deck Cadet: 600$ per month

Selection Procedure

Once the application is selected through either of the way, the selection procedure comprises of the following stages:

• Online MCQ test: The MCQ test comprises of 50 Questions to be completed in 60 minutes. The level of test is easy and comprises of basic Aptitude, English, Geography & General Knowledge questions
• Online Group Discussion: Those who can clear the online MCQ test as per the determined cutoff of the Scorpio are subjected to appear for the Online Group Discussion Round where that topics are given on spot and appear in it as required. The communication skill and the authentic point of view is the key for the selection in the Group Discussion Round.
• Online/Physical Interview: The Interview of Scorpio Tanker is the most critical phase for selection and thus should be focused on the most. The interview questions are uncommon and does not comprise more of technical questions. The interview is personality based. Geography and Current Affairs plays an important role too.
