Indian Maritime University – Common Entrance Test 2025 also known as IMU-CET 2025 will be conducted in the month of July 2025. The tentative date for IMU-CET every year is 10th of July.
The IMU-CET is an online centre-based examination which is conducted once a year for all the UG and PG courses offered by the Indian Maritime University.
The UG Courses offered by the IMU are Diploma in Nautical Science, B.Sc. in Nautical Science, B.Tech. in marine engineering, etc.
The admission in DNS program in pvt. colleges is conducted twice a year for August batch starting on 1st of August and for February batch starting on February every year. While in govt colleges, the admission in DNS program is conducted once a year in august batch commencing from 1st of August every year.
The admission in BSc NS and B.Tech. ME program in govt. as well as pvt. colleges are conducted once a year in august batch commencing from 1st of August every year.
How many attempts for IMU-CET?
IMU-CET is conducted once a year. Every year in the month of June, the IMU-CET is conducted throughout India in various cities of every state. Based on the IMU-CET, admission in DNS for the upcoming February batch is taken.
Since the admission in BSc NS and BTech ME course is conducted once a year, therefore, the single IMU-CET is sufficient for the same.
For your information, clearing the IMU-CET 2025 will make one eligible for admission in DNS course in any pvt. college for august batch starting from 1st of August and February batch starting from 1st of February every year.
Minimum Eligibility:
1. PCM% >= 60 in 12th
2. English >= 50% in 10th/12th
3. Age >=17 before commencement of the course.
4. Valid Passport before joining the course.
5. Vision should be 6/6 without Aids. Vision correction methods like LASIK and Contura Vision is allowed.
6. Colour Blindness is not allowed.
7. For repeating or improving PCM percentage, the board should be same.
8. Candidates with BSc in PCM or electronics (physics as an individual subject in one of the years) are eligible. Avg. % in final year ≥ 60.
9. Candidates with B.E./BTech. In any stream are eligible. Avg. % in final year ≥ 50.
